Well, here's my music page. On here is just a bunch of crap about music that I've hastily thrown together. Remember, this is just my taste in music and my opinions and no one else's! So... enjoy!
If you have time, please download this song that me and my friend Matt did together just for fun (it's only a liitle over a minute long). Click on this: The Flaming Thinks-neeeah

Clutch- Pure Rock Fury
I admit, I have never been a Clutch fan as I, regretably, never got into their music. A guy from work played this album (their newest) and I was hooked. Clutch is very good at what they do: making pure rock with a side of goofiness. "Careful With That Mic..." is awesome and hilarious, while the other songs are equally as good. The only flaw I believe this has is "American Sleep", the opening track... I just don't think that it's that great. The final track, a live version of their song "Supergrass" is awesome throughout its near-eight minute span. It seems, though, that they go directly into another song but it just fades out... I WANNA HEAR THAT SONG! Anyway, a great album for those who like regular rock (though "Careful With That Mic..." is rappy, course it IS making fun of rock/rap.) Great album, and I look forward to getting their previous albums. Grade: A-

Spacehog- The Hogyssey
Spacehog's newest album is wonderful. After hearing them play "I Want to Live" on Conan, I knew I had to get it, and I did the next day. That song is definitely one of the best on the albums, but, really, ALL the songs are good right down to the instrumental that blatently rips off 2001: A Space Odyssey. This one is much better, in my opinion, than Their first (Resident Alien) and possibly their second (The Chinese Album), though I havn't heard much of that one. Definitely one worth buying! Grade: A-

More Reviews
Well, here's more reviews of the latest (and not so latest) releases:
Cave In-Jupiter
I finally found this one!! After many months of looking, I finally found it in Portland. This follow-up to Until Your Heart Stops is amazing, with great songwriting and beautiful, sometimes psychedellic music. Cave-In drastically changed from their last EP, and I think it was for the better as each song here is wonderful. There may be only 8 songs (all fairly long), but they all equal out to over 50 minutes of pure bliss. Grade: A
Flybanger-Headtrip to Nowhere
I only bought this album cause I found it for $3 (promotional). Not to say this album's bad, cause it's not. In fact, Flybanger is one of the more true rock bands out there now. No rapping, minimal shreiking, leaving the album to be far away from the categorization of "nu-metal". Sadly, the album isn't well-rounded and not all the songs are great, and none masterpieces. But, if you like hard rock... REAL hard rock, you might be satisfied with Flybanger. Grade: B
Big Dumb Face-Duke Lion Fights the Terror!!
Wes Borland's solo project is finally out. Wes (known to many as the "Weird guy" from Limp Bizkit) has created here a wonderfully fun, entertaining piece of music. Weird throughout with hard as hell songs to spacy, strange little ditties, the album is a great experience with humor along the way, mixed with moments of musical wizardry. Grade: A-
Toadies-Hell Below/Stars Above
Finally, after 6 long years, the Toadies follow up to Rubberneck has come. Those not familiar with this band would probably recognize their song "Possum Kingdom" as it is still heavily played on many radio stations. This album, however, is MUCH better than Rubberneck and, in my opinion, is one of the best albums so far this year. Each song is great, with wonderful singing, catchy music, and good songwriting. A definite must-have for any music fan. Grade: A+
Starlight Mints-The Dream That Stuff Was Made Of
ok, this album was released last year, but I had to review it cause I just finally got it and it is one of my favorite soft albums. The Starlight Mints combine elements of psychedelia, pop rock, strange lyrics, and violins, their music is very very catchy and different from any other band. The whole album is great and each song is beautifully orchestrated. Warning: Some of these songs will not leave your head easily! Grade: A+

Hella' Reviews
Okay, I have not written any album reviews for a while, so I need to catch up FAST. Sadly, that means that these following reviews must be cut down as I don't have the patience to write a full one for each (though they deserve it). So, here's the reviews up to this point:
Boyhitscar- A wonderful debut album from, who I believe, is one of the better rock bands to come out for a while. This album is a great listen all the way through with cool music (accompanied by a 12-string acoustic) and an awesome singer. Completely evades the "nu-metal" label. Grade: A
Downset "Check Your People"- Good band, okay album. Downset has been a staple in political rock for a while now. Unfortunately they have since split up and their last effort doesn't prove to be a milestone. Grade: B-
Paloalto- Pretty good pop-rock band, I guess you could call it. I heard a sample of the music and liked it, yet the album itself proved to be less enjoyable... still, not bad. Grade: B
PJ Harvey "Stories From the City, Stories From the Sea"- Very good album from a very good singer/songwriter. The singing style differs from song to song, never sounding exactly the same, which is a very big plus. Grade: A-
Rage Against the Machine "Renegades"- This album is exquisite. Even though the songs are all covers, Rage gives them their pattened sound and makes them sound outstanding! It sucks that Rage split up, but at their final album was memorable and left a lasting impression with the RATM touch. Grade: A
Requiem For a Dream Soundtrack- I am not a big fan of techno music, but once I heard the opening overture in this movie, I knew that I had to get the soundtrack. It is both brilliant and haunting, combining the genius of Clint Mansell with the beautiful yet disturbing strings of the legendary Kronos Quartet. Grade: A
Rhea's Obsession "Between the Earth and the Sky"- I downloaded some of their songs a LONG time ago and absolutely loved them. Having not been able to find their album anywhere, I ordered it from Wherehouse, who can practically get anything. Suffice it to say, I was not dissapointed. The music on this album, combined with the haunting, beautiful vocals send the listener to a spiritual place. Grade: A-
Ultrasound "Everything Picture"- I found this one in the import section of a cd store for only $8. I also remembered reading on the Onelinedrawing site that Jonah had seen them in Germany and was blown away. This is truly a masterpiece and one of the better "albums-as-a-whole" I've heard in a while. Grade: A+
Kid606 "Down With the Scene"- Okay, this is fairly new, but I just bought it today and had to write about it. I think I have found my favorite techno artist, if he can be called that. This isn't the run-of-the-mill techno, but a strange, weird sounding album reminiscent of Fantomas and Mr Bungle's "Disco Volante" (no surprise that Kid606 is on Mike Patton's label Ipecac). All of the songs will just boar into your skull and make your head explode (though not in the literal sense, thankfully). Also, the song with the man himself, Mike Patton, on vocals, is amazing! Grade: A+

Cave-In- Until Your Heart Stops
I couldn't find a web site for this band, but man, I ordered this cd from Wherehouse like in May and it finally came today (late November). Back orders are a bitch! Anyway, this cd is awesome, one of the hardest, wildest rock albums I've heard. They could teach Slipknot a thing or two. The aggression that bands such as Slipknot contain is apparant in this cd (originally released in 1998), but there seems to be more orchestration to each song as the music is brulliant and not so easily matched by many bands. The singing ranges from groans to high-pitched screams, to melodies, so it's all over the map. Cave-In is a band that seemed to be ahead of its time but didn't get musch recognition. The name of the cd sums up the experience of this album: Until Your Heart Stops. Grade: A-

Aimee Mann- The Ultimate Collection
Aimee Mann is awesome. Her music is wonderful and her voice is exquisite. I got this cd during the HUGE sale at Best Buy the day after Thanksgiving. It saves me the trouble of buying all her cds and "catching up" since I just got into her music after the film Magnolia and her newest cd Bachelor No. 2 (which is also amazing). The Ultimate Collection contains hits from her previous album as well as songs from her 80s band 'Till Tuesday (those are just ok), but the others are wonderful. What's cool is that there is lotsa cd as there are 20 songs! If you are an Aimee Mann fan, as everyone should be, get this CD... unless you already have all of her others! Grade: A+

Marilyn Manson- Holy Wood
I have been a fan of Marilyn Manson's music ever since the wonderful "Antichrist Superstar" (followed by the equally wonderful "Mechanical Animals"). As with "Antichrist" Marilyn Manson goes back to the storytelling motive as the album is divided into chapters. The sound is a bit of a mix between his previous two with some heavy and lighter songs. Nevertheless, this is another fantastic and original album from the man who, in my eyes, gets more grief than neccasary. If only the people who knock him would actually listen to what he has to say and hear the dark beauty of his music instead of judging him based on wild rumors and what he chooses to look and dress like. And for Gods' sake people, the man is NOT a Satanist. Anyway, some of my favs on this one are "Coma Black", "The Fight Song", and.. aw who am I kidding, I like 'em all con sarnit! Grade: A

Strait Up- A Tribute to Lynn Strait
Lynn Strait was the AMAZING lead singer for the AMAZING band Snot. Sadly, he died in a six-car accident near Santa Barbara in December of 1998, along with his bulldog Dobbs, the mascot of Snot and the cover-dog for their first album "Get Some". Snot was a band that I instantly fell in love with. Their sound was unlike anything I had ever heard. They were way ahead of their time and Lynn's incredible vocal talents have proved to be unmatchable. Needless to say, I was devastated when I got word of his untimely death. But his legacy lives on through this album as many of his friends have lended their voices to the intended music for Snot's sophomore effort. Also, Snot's last studio-recorded song "Absent" serves as a finale. (It was originally released as part of the "Strangeland" soundtrack.) A few of the stand-outs other than that brilliant song are "Divided" featuring Brandon Boyd of Incubus, "Angel's Son" featuring Lajon Witherspoon of Sevendust, and "I Know Where You're At" featuring M.C.U.D. of hed pe. Although many of them could never match the power of Lynn Strait, they do accomplish the task of giving him a well-deserved tribute. The idea of the cd was conceived and executed by other Snot members Mikey Doling (now of Soulfly) and John "Tumor" Fahnestock (now of Amen). Snot was truly an amazing band and Lynn Strait was, in my opnion, one of the best lead singers ever! It sucks that he had to die, but at least he got a loving tribute to send him on his way. (The only reason I am not giving this cd the best grade possible is because a few of the guest vocals are just ok. I know that if Lynn were alive and this had been Snot's second album instead, it would grade off the scale!) Grade: A

Amen- We Have Come for Your Parents
Amen's first self-titled cd wasn't great. Only about half the songs were very replayable and awesome, and the rest was just ok. However, in their sophomore effort, it seems like they took all the coolness from the awesome songs on the first one and filled this one with it. All of the songs are amazing! This album is great! The best way to describe Amen's sound would probably be an extremely hardcore punk band. Those who liked Snot should probably dig Amen (which actually contains two members of Snot). Amen is NOT the kind of "punk" that Blink182 is, but rather like Refused with a more of a metal edge. Casey Chaos' words are definitely punk and his singing is very emotional. In recording sessions, he has even been known to pop blood vessels due to his extreme voice. The booklets in both albums, along with the lyrics, also give off the punk anarchist vibe. None of them dress in leather jackets and studs, though, ala Rancid. Those who end up liking Amen should also get Snot's cd "Get Some" (sadly, the lead singer, Lynn Strait, died before they could release a second one. But make sure you pick up the Lynn Strait tribute album "Strait Up" in stores Nov. 7th). Anyway, back to Amen. This cd is wonderful and much better than their first one. It shows a great improvement and the first one only came out a year ago. I can't imagine what their next album's gonna sound like. Grade: A

MSI- Frankenstein Girls Will Seem Strangely Sexy
In case you don't know, MSI above stands for Mindless Self Indulgence. Yes, I finally got this cd. I was eventually gonna buy it at a store but there was always some new release that I wanted to get and this one is expensive at most places. So, in the last BMG offer, it was unlimited cds for $5, so I looked for anything I wanted. Surprisingly they had this one, so, of course, I ordered it immediately. It finally came in the mail, seeming to take FOREVER! I just love Mindless Self Idulgence.. they are TOO AWESOME! Many of you who visit this site should already know that and those who havn't heard them before, you are in for a fantastically weird and crazy treat. "Faggot" has to be one of my favorite songs made by ANY band! Also check out their first one, if you can find it, called "Tight" (you can read my review of it on this page too.) Grade: A

Travis- The Man Who
I'm not completely sure if I bought this cd before or after I started this web site, but I just wanted to review it because 1) it's extremely good and 2) Travis is my band of the week this week (unless you're reading this on another week, in which they probably aren't!) Travis' sound can be described as a much lighter version of Radiohead, well, kinda lighter, not much. Their album was even produced by Nigel Godrich, (or however you spell his name) the producer of all the Radiohead albums. Although they might sound similar to Radiohead, their song style is completely different and it is pretty easy to tell them apart once you really start to listen. Thsi whole album is fantastic and extremely beautiful. The lead singer's voice is amazing and the music matches perfectly along with it, fitting every mood that each song seems to create. I can't explain much more because words can't express how wonderful this disc is. One suggestion: BUY IT! P.S. Matt Flook, if you happen to be reading this, I really hope you consider heeding my advice because I don't think you will be dissapointed! It's great! Grade: A

Mudvayne-LD 50
Yeah, yeah, I know, as anyone who read my Rockfest review should know, I said that I disliked Mudvayne because I thought them to be Slipknot ripoffs. This was mainly because I didn't watch them but was busy watching the band on the other stage. Whenever I looked over at Mudvayne, I just saw guys with painted faces parading around, occasionly screaming. So, I thought: Baby Slipknots. Boy, was I wrong! I downloaded the song 'Dig' from Napster one day and really liked it although it was pretty hard and very Slipknot-ish. Then, I downloaded some other songs and found out that they did softer stuff and the lead singer's voice was actually very good! (In fact, he's probably the closest I've ever heard that almost matches that of Maynard James Keenans'). So, I decided that I needed to get their album. Then, finally, i did, and I really liked it. Sure, some songs are a little like Slipknot, but these guys are better than Slipknot because they further explore the softer side and the lead singer shows off his extremely wide range! The bassist is also fantastic and the small, weird instrumentals here and there are pretty cool too! Grade: A-

More CD reviews!!!
K, here's 3 cd reviews of the 3 cds I've bought in the past weeks (pretty logical, dontcha think?):
Nothingface- Violence: These guys are THEE definitive hard rock band. Anyone who's never heard of 'em and likes hard music, get to know 'em and QUICK! Their first two cds (Pacifier, An Audio Guide to Everyday Atrocity) are great, but this one far surpasses and, thankfully, is longer than 40 minutes as their first two were kinda short. Anyway, Nothingface is melodic at times but usually tends to play rip-your-heart-out-and-show-it-to-you hardcore music... but the kind that sounds good! They pull it off well... you don't feel dirty for listening to it (unlike a band by the name of Six Feet Under) and every song just rocks! Those who don't like hard rock might like the softer songs, but I wouldn't suggest any of their albums to you. All you others: Bow down to Nothingface!!! P.s. These guys are fucking AWESOME live!!! Grade: A-
Orgy- Vapor Transmission: okay, Orgy's back at last! This CD is definitely better than Candyass, and it shows! What's cool about Orgy is their sound... it is unmatched. What sucks is that, sadly, they don't have much of a re-listen value! Nothing's wrong with them, but for some reason I can't listen to their CDs a whole bunch. Don't get me wrong, this is definitely one to buy, but, if your like me, don't plan on listening to it non-stop. Grade: B+
Limp Bizkit- Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water: Okay, I am one of those people that lost some hope in Limp Bizkit cause I was sick of hearing about them. This led me to forget as to why I originally liked them. Sure, the lyrics are nothing much and the music is pretty good, but all of their songs are so entertaining! That's what you do when you listen to an LB album, just lay back, relax, and bop your head. I still do HATE the songs with rappers on them! Ugh! All the other songs are awesome (although I think the Trent Reznor quips in "Hot Dog" are kinda lame). What's also cool is that on this one (like Significant Other) the songs that seem like Fred actually sat down and thought about the lyrics and are melodic are really really good! I'm talking of The One, It'll be OK, Boiler, Hold on (guest vocals by Scott Weiland didn't hurt on this one, either). The others are just kinda for fun. This album also reminded me of how fun their others are too (though 3 Dollar Bill is just pure hardcore rock, with a few exceptions). Anyway, this is a pretty good album. Grade: B+
Well, that's about it for now, just gotta wait till I get more, I guess. Until then...

NOW HEAR... er... READ THIS!!
While scrolling down my music page, I've noticed that I've barely reviewed many CDs this year when there has been so many more than what is posted. So, I guess what I'll do is review most of the other CDs really quick that didn't get a full review. (Reminder: all of these were purchased AFTER I started my web site).
Finger Eleven- The Greyest of Blue Skies: One of the best CDs of the year! Beautiful, melodic, enchanting rock and roll from one of the more under-appreciated bands out there. Grade: A+
Spite- Bastard Complex: I had been looking for this CD for about half a year when I finally found a copy (literally ONE copy) at Best Buy on the Grand Opening. Very good hard rock band with thought-provoking yet aggressive lyrics. (Originally released in 1999). Grade: B+
Relative Ash- Our Time With You: This was one of the bands I saw at Rockfest. Very good bands with lyrics that deal with real issues like AIDS, divorce, and the importance of family, instead of the regular I-hate-my-parents attitude. May be too new metal for some and do sound uncannily like earlier Deftones at times. Grade: B
Liquid Gang- Sunshine: It took me a while to get into this one, but once I did, I loved it. Mostly softer, more melodic rock, sometimes sounding a little like 3 Doors Down only a little heavier with the lead singer sounding alot like Lajon Witherspoon (Sevendust) at times. Grade: B+
Mindless Self Indulgence- Tight: I can't explain these guy's sound and anyone who knows about 'em will know what I'm talking about. But I've always been a fan of weird, cool-sounding music, and this one definitely fits that bill. Very hyperactive and insanely entertaining CD. (Originally released in 1999). Grade: A-
Refused- The Shape of Punk to Come: My cousin got me into this CD. This band can be described in one word: hardcore. This is one you want to put on when you wanna just unleash it all, but very beautiful at the same time. (Originally realeased in 1998). Grade: A-
Remy Zero- Villa Elaine: A must-have for those who like Radiohead, Travis or Muse. At times sounds alot like Radiohead but always has a more jazzy, more heavy sound. An all-around keeper. (Originally released in 1998). Grade: A
VAST- Music For People: A very good album reminiscent of older rock bands such as the Doors but with a more modern pop sound mixed with a touch of techno. Each song is beautiful and brilliantly composed. Grade: A
Ultraspank- Progress: Okay, I bought this one before I started my site, but the reason I'm listing it is because I've gotten ahead of myself on the reviews posted below. This album is actually my favorite of the year. All I can say about it is: simply amazing and extremely beautiful in every way possible! Grade: A+
Well, now that I have that out of the way, I want to point you in the direction of the overview on my current band of the week: Lusk. Please, check it out on my home page because their CD is one that everybody should add to their collection! Thanks.

Radiohead- Kid A
When I first bought this CD and popped it into my discman, I couldn't recognize the band. I thought to myself: Is this Radiohead? Well, indeed it was. So, I was a little skeptical at first since it sounded way different than what I was expecting. In fact, I didn't know whether I liked it or not at first. But, that night, I played the entire CD a couple of times and it hooked on me. Now, I feel like a fool for even questioning it. This whole CD is wonderful... except for #5 which is kinda boring but serves as a soothing intermission. But please don't buy this CD expecting the same old (but beautiful) Radiohead sound. This CD is completely different from their others and much more experimental yet at the same time, just as beautiful. One of the only down sides is that Thom Yorke doesn't sing as much in this one than he has in their previous releases, but don't let that prevent you from buying this wonderful piece of music. Grade: A

Cold- 13 Ways to Bleed on Stage
Ok, SCREW the post below this.. well, not exactly screw it, but screw the first sentence because, now, THIS is my favorite CD so far this year! And in case any of you havn't heard of this band or havn't listened to their hugely underrated self-titled CD, you should listen up! Cold is just pure rock. None of that "new metal" shit or rap-rock thing going on... just full-out, melodic, harmonious rock-and-roll. The lyrics are both haunting and beautiful and the music matches the singing almost perfectly. Every song flows perfectly well. The advantages this one holds over their first album is that, on this one, the lead singer (Scooter) expands his vocal abilities much more and, as a result, sounds more harmonious. Also, Cold has added a second guitarist which significantly enhances the music. Believe me, this is a great, great, great album! Grade: A+

Hed pe- Broke
First off: This is my favorite CD so far this year! I've been waiting for this thing for awhile now.. and believe you me, I am NOT dissapointed. In case you've never heard them before, Hed pe is a band that mixes many different sounds, including funk, reggae, rock, metal, and hip hop. DO NOT call them a rock-rap band. That, to me, means all those new bands that are recycling the same sound. Not to name names but (cough) Papa Roach (cough). I respect them, but just don't care for their music, that's all. Anyway, I don't think you've heard anything like Hed pe before. This whole album is good... I mean... EXCELLENT. The only problem I had with their first album was that I din't get into a couple of the songs.. it was a n AWESOME album also, but with a few miniscule flaws. This one, however, is just amazing. Grade: A

Fight Club- Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
I must admit, my cousin got me hooked on this! He is a Fight Club fanatic! After he got this CD, I thought, Oh great, another useless piece of Fight Club merchandise! Although I have seen the movie many times, I never really listened to the music... I knew that it was performed by the Dust Brothers, who I like, but I was always so engrossed by the movie that the music took a back seat. But when Doug (my cousin) kept on playing the soundtrack over and over, I got hooked. Now, I have to admit, I hardly like any techno or "dance" music at all. The only other full-fledged techno CD I have is the Propellerheads. (Although I also like Underworld). But this CD is just awesome. The ehing that gets my goat about most techno is that it repeats the same noises over and over for nigh-on to seven minutes! The Dust Brothers, however, seem to have a knack in knowing when to quit before it starts to get annoying. The music is constantly changing and dipping in and out from quiet, soothing moments, to raging, loud moments. It is repetive at times, but not enough to annoy, just enough to enjoy! All in all, a good soundtrack from an awesome movie! Grade: B

Faith No More- Introduce Youself
I will probably refrain from reviewing older CDs and, instead, concentrate on reviewing new releases in the future, but I felt that this particular CD held special privileges, you know, since Faith No More is one of my favorite bands and all. What's that you say? If they're one of my favorite bands, why didn't I have this CD already? Well, the answer is simple: I couldn't find it anywhere! And, when I first did encounter it (the only other time I HAD encountered it, mind you), I was hesitant in buying it since Mike Patton wasn't the lead singer. (He took over that role in their second album, entitled The Real Thing). But, after hearing the song by the name of "We Care a Lot", I knew that I had to have this album. After finding it in the same spot I had before (the used CD section at Wherehouse Music, although it hadn't been there on any of my other previous visits), I gave it a quick listen and purchased it immiediately. Let me tell you this: It is better than The Real Thing, and, surprisingly, less '80s sounding, even though it was made in '87, whereas The Real Thing was made in '89! Although it doesn't contain the BRILLIANT Mike Patton, this album is a must for any Faith No More fan. Still my favorite track: We Care a Lot... it's too good! Grade: B+

Rockfest
Yesterday, I went to the best concert I've ever been to in my life: KUFO Rockfest Tatoos the Earth! As you might be able to tell by the title, this concert included the Tatoo the Earth tour. The only difference was that STP (Stone Temple Pilots) were headlining, thus the KUFO (Portland radio station) Rockfest part. This was the first actual "tour" I've gone to, meaning many many bands (approx. 23 at this one), two stages, and food galore! I was there, along with one of my best friends and his girlfriend, from 8:30 in the morning to 10:30 at night!... it was a long day! Anyway, many of the bands were good, some were OK, and some were just bad. I didn't really bother to watch the ones I didn't want to see, but I could still hear every band there, no matter where you went. So, suffice it to say, I did hear every band (except for U.P.O., I knew they were there but they must have done their whole set while I was watchin' another band, because I didn't see them or hear them at all!). Anyway, I'll give the names of the bands I didn't see (remember, I still heard 'em and might have gotten a glimpse of 'em, but I didn't actually stand and watch 'em): Systematic (they sounded OK though), U.P.O (like I said, I never even heard 'em), Esham (didn't hear him either and frankly didn't want to), Workhouse Movement (just OK), Sepultura (I listened to their whole set while sittin' on the grass, let me just say that Sepultura is Sepultura), Hatebreed (they are OK on their CDs, but they just sounded filthy in concert), Mudvayne (OK for total Slipknot knockoffs), Slayer (I think ugh says it all), and Nashville Pussy (double ugh). And now for the ones I saw, I'll rank 'em in the order I liked 'em from best to least best, but I did like all of these, just not as much as others: 1. Slipknot (I'm getting sick of them, but they are so energetic and entertaing that they were another experience all together!), 2. STP (Can you say, one of the best bands in the world?), 3. Nothingface (I liked 'em before the concert and I like 'em even more afterwards), 4. Amen (One word: ENERGETIC), 5. (hed)pe (I love this band, but their set was way too short for being on the main stage), 6. Cold (they had technical problems at first, delaying them from starting, but when they got going, they were good, also another band that I was a fan of), 7. Relative Ash (a VERY good new band!), 8. Sevendust (I really like them, but their performance wasn't all that great), 9. Full Devil Jacket (I like 'em more now than I did before), 10. Downset (I like this band too, but I didn't watch much of 'em because we were very thirsty and went off to get something to drink during their set), 11. Famous (not great, only so-so). Another cool thing was that we saw some artists coming and going from behind the fence and visited with some, just chatting with 'em like they were old buddies, none of that "Oh, oh, can I have your autograph?" Examples: Matt (lead singer of Nothingface) sat on the ground and just chatted with us, although he was mainly interested with my friend's girlfriend! Sonny and Tumor (guitarist and bassist for Amen, formerly of Snot)... with them, I just introduced myself and talked (mainly with Sonny) about Snot and about the upcoming Lynn Strait Tribute Album. Only dissapointments: Neither Coal Chamber or Puya were there, Coal Chamber being a band that I was eager to see... also, the sweltering heat, I got really sunburned! But, all in all, an overwhelmingly cool experience! Overall grade: A
